writing

So I want to be a writer. Well, a published one that is. I CAN write, but how well remains to be seen. Hopefully, I soon will be getting a Dragon naturally speaking machine to help me with typing. It takes me a while to get things typed. I have Rheumatoid arthritis and a host of nerve problems, so Vocational Rehab. has agreed to get me one.I've had a couple of lessons with it and think it will be a great addition, once I've mastered it.
Of course, typing is the easy part, What to type is the difficult part. I've written a picture book, I haven't queried it quite yet. A couple of years back I submitted it to a magazine that was holding a contest for picture books, I didn't win. But I haven't given up on it, I just need to do some more revisions on it.
I've also started several other books, one is temporarily called 'yankeehandy tips and tricks'
It is a book I started about 20 years ago. It contains many uses for items, the usual ones, but many unusual ones. Ways to use things up; refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle. Most people, advertisers too, start with recycle, but that should come last. I'll expound on that later.
Another manuscript I'm working on is about my medical affairs of the last 10 years.
It is getting to be quite a journey! I've learned a lot I'd rather not of learned.
Well, the sun is finally threatening to come out after a long hiatus, so I think I'll go out and enjoy some of it. But never fear my little darlings, I'll be back.
